How thick is the stripe? If its really thin, I've seen on Trinitron type monitors where two of very thin mask wires, which run from top to bottom from across the width of the monitor will get stuck...

I cant see the words on the brown caps very well, but the brown color and the distinctive vent - the diagonal cut line with the small arc - is commonly an Elna capacitor. Elna caps are very popular...
