Re: Philips PLCD190P5 power supply

You might be able to use that scope/meter to see if there is a pulse coming from L8582 pin 7 when the board it turned on. (fet can be out during test), but I suspect the ic is bad. they don't like...

Re: ZM821 in BN44-00440A power supply

I would think that if your meter is measuring some ac (3 volts) on pin 1 of CNI801, that the drive circuit is working. You could try using a diode, with the anode to pin one and cathode to your meter...

Re: ZM821 in BN44-00440A power supply

You would need a scope to see the drive signal on pins 12,13 of the sem2106, The signal is likely too low a level and too high frequency for a meter.
Do you get any voltage on cni801 pin1 or see a...

Re: Philips PLCD190P5 power supply

if the optocoupler is just acting as a switch, like in the case of turning the supply on and off, it is ok to short the transistor (optos output) BUT if it is for the feedback of a regulated supply,...

Re: Samsung 50" Plasma PS50A457P1D Grey Blotchy Cloudy

Before you just replace the fuse, check for a short between ground and the fuse, it is very likely there are shorted components on the zsus board.
Also post the board number, It might be LJ41-05307A...

Re: Trouble Locating Shorted Component

It does seem low but it might be normal. Do you get any voltage on that line during normal operation? what supplies that 1.35 volts? maybe there is a problem with the source not outputing the 1.35...

Re: Trouble Locating Shorted Component

That would tell me that there is NO short to ground at that point. If there was a short the current would be a lot higher. I would not apply a higher voltage. that would not be good.

Re: Pioneer QX-949 in protect mode / no audio

What about pins 15,16? Whats the voltage on C14 (+)? it should be +19 volts, Whats on the base of Q8, should be +1.8 volts The collector of Q8 should be +39, the emitter should be +1.2 but its -39 so...

Re: LG 42LW6500 no backlights

Usually the LED+ will have the led voltage to the strings, the vc_** are the returns, and are controlled by an ic/transistors. You may need to have your probe on the pin, then turn the power on...

Re: Pioneer QX-949 in protect mode / no audio

With the fault only in one of the power amb circuits, that would eliminate any power supply issues. Likely with the 2 output transistors removed from that circuit the rest of the amp should function

Re: Philips PLCD190P5 power supply

On the L6562 pin 8 vcc. the supply is VCC_PFC . looking to the...

Re: Philips PLCD190P5 power supply

NO the standby drive is working just fine. These are complicated power supplies, I suspect that when IN standby, the PFC circuit (L6562) is not powered. When the main board tells the power supply to...

Re: Nvidia GTX 1080 (gainward / palit) inductor

Nobody said to "randomly send 9V into the board." What I said was to apply it to where the +12 volts (see 12 volts) would normaly be. How the hell is 9 volts going to harm anything when the normal...
