check the output diodes - it may be detecting a short circuit.

i think the difference between those triacs is one has an isolated tab and the other can be live!

the joints are cracked - i can see the ghost-rings in the foto!

T is a sensor, it sounds like a themister but your taking a big risk if that'as a LiPo pack,

but the rigol 50MHz scope can be unlocked to run at 100MHz and can resolve signals upto about 250! :)

they wont be obsolete because 12v batteries are also used on generators, plant equipment such as compressors etc and loads of other stuff.

did you try it without any expansion cards or harddrives?
clicking sometimes means a short on the power rails
