i dont know about your desk, but you need to be carefull with these type of large explosed boards - put them on/in a case or something
you may want to run your inputs through opto islolators on the...

put a meter or scope on the power supply connector and make sure the power is not dipping - those can cause problems

yes, anode to mcu input you can also use a series resistor to limit the current to the limit of the pin if you want.

i think if you put a 1n4148 diode between the mcu and relay you should be good.
it will block the 12v through the lamp from the mcu
if that even happens.

i have some led indicators that dont...

wtf?
use the relay to pull to ground,
out the led & resistor(2k2) to +12v or use 5v and 470ohm or higher
the microcontroller has internal pullups

btw - your circuit will blow the led to bits -...

that's not how it's done,
you have a main loop that branches to each task.
tasks like checking buttons, checking sensors etc.
none of the tasks go into a closed loop.

did you go to my link to check your stlink is up to date?

btw, you can move a couple of jumpers on the stlink part and use it standalone to program other stm32 chips. :)

power can be reduced to nothing,
you can shutdown the i/o in blocks so only the core runs, and even change the clockspeed on the fly.
you can also stall the core and have it start on an interupt...

arduino doesnt upload the INO - ever
that's "c", it compiles it into binary before upload.
you can save that compiled version.

or it will have a weblink.

it's all in the cube software anyway.

btw, to flash code into nucleo's you just copy your bin or hex into...

you put a spare harddrive on another machine and install freedos on it together with the bios and flasher - then plug it into the asus board.
it's not your bios though.

boot a Linux live-disk...
