Re: Skylink Net 1008 Switch

It`s an old topic, anyway i do not think 350v is too bad. With 320v max. voltage they have plenty of headroom. The 350v is factory guaranteed working voltage.
For quality brand capacitors there is...

Re: Smasung SyncMaster 913N Monitor wouldnot display images

Well, if you could get some NT68F63L i think you can try it.
I am not sure, if you need to flash the firmware. If you want to save your current firmware, you need a simple adapter VGA > LPT port and...

Re: PSU holdup time vs UPS switching time

Active pfc circuit`s are in most cases voltage regulated step up converter. So as long as the A-PFC circuits output voltage is higher then the input voltage, i do not see any problems there.
The...

Re: Smasung SyncMaster 913N Monitor wouldnot display images

The NT68F63L is the one with the sticker. The label indicates the firmware revision, which may be specific for the device / panel.
The NT68F63L has it`s own EEPROM. You can flash it via COM port....

Re: Skylink Net 1008 Switch

On request i add an image of the PSU connection and corresponding voltage.
I have done a lazy job, so you have to zoom in to read the labels.

Re: Questions on recapping a Seasonic SS-300FS

Well, i have a SS400FS on my bench, may be i check what kind of 5v Sb circuit they have.
Apart from that, topswitch circuit is a good design, IMHO no need for mods.
The topswitch in to220 is...

Re: Questions on recapping a Seasonic SS-300FS

I think the SS300FS should be a fine and reliable psu apart from caps.
I have used the ss300FS and especially the SS400FS in most AMD K7 / K8 builds.
The 5v sb is AFAIR a topswitcher circuit,...

Re: I'm totally puzzled by this power supply!

You need the fast diodes due to the switching frequencies of this boost converter. Those PFC converters are switching in the range of 50khz +
A normal diode will short out the current, as it can`t...

Re: Smasung SyncMaster 913N Monitor wouldnot display images

Those NT68F63L are already programed, but you can program it by your own with the EasyWriter software from Novateck and a simple LPT > VGA adapter.
So you should be able to save your original...

Re: Smasung SyncMaster 913N Monitor wouldnot display images

As time goes, the problem with this monitor is indentified. It is the NT68F63L controler, wich failes. There is no solution to this except replacing. Even reprogramming the firmware does not help. It...

Re: zyxel p660r-d1 recap ? What cap's to buy ?

Take panasonic FC or FM or any other decent low esr capacitor; that are basic buck regulators, they work with anything rated as low esr capacitor.

Re: Intel

We should be greatful to AMD for not giving up their business. If AMD werent there, we would now are facing 2.4ghz P4 systems burning 120w+ with 128MB RDRAM for a premium price tag.
So no DDR RAM,...

Re: Which of these psus is the safest?

Codegen are pure junk, have seen some smoked systems simply by overloading ( e.g. new VGA card with more power ...). So i would not put it in any more demanding unit.
In a P3 or celeron setup i...

Re: New router time!

Well, DD-WRT has many features, but this all needs power and costs performance.

Re: Spectroniq PLTV-3250 wont start

Z-diodes like D4 do either protect the gate of the switching mosfet or are for over voltage protection. I would not recommend to use any SMPS w/o it. In the best case, you just simply blow the mosfet...

Re: MOSFET and MOSFET driver problem

From what i have seen, the lower Mosfets are in paralel, to reduce resistance and rreduce heat and looses.
OEM`s may cheap down here and populate only one. This increases heat and drops efficency...

Re: Smasung SyncMaster 913N Monitor wouldnot display images

The problem seems to be a bad signal prozessor, which degrades over time and then will need more voltage to work correctly. But sure, this is just an hypothesis.
Personally i would not bridge those...

Re: Delta DPS-700FB

I have seen this PSu too and bookmarked the auction. Really heavy beasts those deltas and quite a bargain for those older systems with lots of 5v needs.
Thx for the pic`s very interesting.

Re: Burning issues. No idea what is up.

Lite On is cheap BS, i never bought one of those POS. Many big OEM`s like Medion have used them in the past.
This proofs one thing in my mind: they must be cheap. Today i rarely see them in pre...
