I disconected pin 6 BL on and no change still no display.

Not bothered about the IR board as such Bud, but was worried that if it was disconected/broken whether that would stop the monitor firing...

You are of course quite right Bud, Vamp on pin 7 is 13v plugged in or out same as pin 5.

Pin 6 is def 4.6v unplugged and 50mvs plugged in.

So I am guessing its looking a bit like my main board...

so after a re test voltages are the same plugged in or out (main board)

pin1 13v
2 =3.3v
3=13v
4=115mv
5=13v
6=100 ish mv
7=13v
8=0
