Re: Sasmung la40m81bd - Recapped

Try heating the main board metal shield. If the picture comes back then it's probably the 2 x 1000uf caps under the tin work.

Re: LG 60PB5600 Sound but no Picture

As mentioned already the fact the screen lights up then goes off would suggest the y-sustain works.

Change the cap on the buffer and see if the tv works again.

Re: LG 60PB5600 Sound but no Picture

The fact the screen lights up then goes off would suggest that y-sustain is probably working but you can check and see if -VY matches the label on start up.

Id say that you probably have a short...

I've uploaded the flash for this mainboard in the eeprom thread. It'll work in this model. Same panel except NO1. Won't matter though.

Re: LG 55UF6450 Static on screen but has sound and on screen menus work.

Baking the board isn't going to fix it.
You need to replace the xd engine under the silver heat sink. reballing it won't work either. It needs to be replaced.

Re: LG 50PN4500-UA - has problems turning on

So if you get test patterns and the TV doesn't turn off then you have a problem with your mainboard.

He has a bad panel

There is no tcon in this set it's built into the mainboard.

You cannot disconnect the panel from the mainboard or the TV cycles.

Re: Samsung curved UN65KU650DFXZA blinking backlight

Even with the ribbons disconnect form the panel the TV will cycle. Try another mainboard but im pretty sure if that doesn't work then the panel is more than likely the cause
