ok, does it come back on by itself after it shuts of, like on 10 seconds off for whatever time then back on for 10 seconds or it just shuts off and stays off?

it seems like you need to figure out why a little pressure on the ribbon cable fixes the issue, wonder if a little paper shim or sum such on top, not where the contacts are, would do the trick.

oh crap, hate when that happens, they are way too flimsy, seems like they could make them more durable but they probably don't want to spend a few more pennies during manufacture.

if no joy, maybe try to run the powerboard as stand alone, to see if you can get the backlights up, this one is unfamiliar to me so I don't know the procedure.

Probably time to carefully strip it down to inspect backlights. You can if you like, replace individual backlights, possibly with some from a previous salvage if they match, more are likely to fail...

probably backlight issue, try with tv unplugged from power, unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, leave it unhooked, plug power cable into powerboard, plug cord into outlet, see if backlighs...

ok, thanks Diah, didn't know if it was suppose to be high or low power, unpower, like some voltages high is right some low is right, hard to comprehend at times.

yes it was high all the time 2.3, been trying to find out what that bl-err voltage should be on a working tv but no luck, that is, what it should be at standby and when powered up.

try this, unplug tv from outlet, unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, leave it off, plug power cord into powerboard, plug into outlet, see if backlight stays on steady instead of going out or...

Indeed, lots of similar problems I've had and seen here and elsewhere, can't solve it for some reason, can you report the voltage of the BL_ERR pin on the powerboard connector, black neg. probe on...
