Re: LC65lE654u no power

You cannot accurately check the cap's capacitance while the cap is still hooked to the circuit, there are other component that are connected to the cap so the reading will not be valid.

Re: Sharp LC-80LE757U - Click - shuts off

That is the problem, more likely the Opto couple problem in the AC_DET circuit.
When you heat up the power supply board you need to do localize heating, may be you ending up heating the opto.
The...

Re: Samsung LN 40D630 TV - No Power

So the new fuse did blow, so you need to verify for sure that resistor RM811 is still good or not and then replace the IC.

Try having flat ribbon cables between the LCD panel and the T-con board connected one at a time to see what happen, be careful to seat the cables back in place properly.

Re: Samsung UN46ES6003FXZA Power Supply issue

I hope you use LED that can handle at least 400mA otherwise it will burn up, 50mA rated LED is not going make it..
Make sure to turn down backlights on all input also.

Re: Sanyo FW65D25T has backlight but no picture

FP1 is the fuse. then are lots of Voltage test points: V1N12, V33V, V25V, etc. You just have to look.

Re: Homemade LED tester for tv.

Dim control will vary the current through the LED or change the existing LED CC sensing circuit that the LED driver already has.
That feedback in your circuit is for sensing the output Voltage so...

Re: UN49KU7000, has sound but no picture

You need to test with LED (Load) in place, exposed pins on top side of the board are ODD number pins, not even number pins.

Re: Samsung LN 40D630 TV - No Power

Well, you have good board and bad board for doing the resistance comparison readings.
Check that pin 1 of the SMPS IC again, it should have continuity all the way to that blown fuse.

Re: Samsung UN46ES6003FXZA Power Supply issue

1) Monitor the Voltage on pin 2 (R+ Anode of the first LED string) of the LED connector to see if it goes up way above 190V with ref. to chassis GND when the LED's flash off. If it does then you have...

Re: UN49KU7000, has sound but no picture

If you are 100% sure the meter shows 361VDC then you have open circuit some where in the LED string, the LED drive Voltage is printed on the board, it is rate at about 200 VDC.
Try measuring the 1-...

Re: Samsung LN 40D630 TV - No Power

Pin 1 D/ST pin should have about 162VDC (if the IC is not switching) through the primary transformer winding which is fed the fuse that was blown earlier.

Re: Samsung LN 40D630 TV - No Power

You look at the wrong IC, the one you need to check is UM801S mounted on the heatsink. UP801S is for PFC.

Re: Samsung LN 40D630 TV - No Power

SMPS IC UM801S OK?, RM811 OK?
Fuse FM801S is in the HOT side not cold side, is for supplying the Voltage to run the SMPS IC and the inverter transformer driver circuit.
Are you 100% sure that...
