Re: 2015 Insignia NS-55D421NA16 No Standby-PSU Sparks

You could have a shorted component on the 1.15 volt line that caused the regulator to fail. It is likely that was the part that sparked originally and not the coil.

Re: Help to identify surface mount capacitor

Is it possible that just the circuit that monitors the voltage is at fault? or does the actual voltage change when checked with a meter, if the actual buss voltage is 330 why does the software report...

Re: Hisense 50k23dg with power issues?

Check for poor solder connections on the a/c input jack on the power supply board, you could also have a bad cap in the standby circuit

Re: Samsung PN51D550 SMPS question

If you measured the Vs voltage with it disconected from the Ysus/Zsus it will read high and likely shut down, it needs to have a load, you can use 2- 120 volt, 60w or 100w incandesent lamps in series...

Re: Sansui SV-EPD4230BP Sometimes wont switch on/ Solved

If you find that does not solve the problem, change the electrolytic cap. beside the ic. It can dry out overtime and cause a similar problem

Re: Disconnecting internal tv speakers (HLT5675S) safe?

The fan's are usually not that noisy, It could be the color wheel that you here that is humming. If you have a scope you can check and see if there is a tach pulse coming from the fan.
I have had...

Re: Philips FR-740 working but no audio output

It should'nt be hard to find a transitor to use for now, almost any pnp rated higher than 60v should work.
So with that transistor out of circuit do you have audio out of the speakers?
did the...

Re: Philips FR-740 working but no audio output

7309 could be bad cap 2365 could be bad, something is killing that voltage. all the other voltages seem to be close except this one. and it is the "AMP ON/OFF CIRCUIT"

I checked the schematic for...

Re: Philips FR-740 working but no audio output

That voltage on the collector of 7309 is way too low, the schematic says it should be -34.5 volts,
Whats on the base of 7902, it should be -35 volts
7309 could be leaky e-c killing that voltage...

Re: Disconnecting internal tv speakers (HLT5675S) safe?

Even though the fans are turning you may be missing the tach pulse, check the solder connections on the plugs on the dmd board, and check the plug itself. sometimes the wires can be loose in the plug.

Re: Toshiba HD crt tv 36HF71 osd menu shakes

If it is outside where it is cold, it will be fine, its only if you bring it into a warm place that the condesation would happen.

Re: Toshiba HD crt tv 36HF71 osd menu shakes

Does it stop shaking after it warms up. It could be caused by the degausing circuit not cutting out. the thermister is so cold it keeps the degausing circuit on.
On another note, if you bring it in...

Re: Samsung LN2353H - Bad Power Supply BN44-00158A

The diagram has a (K) but in this case it means Tolerance Code of 10%. The value should be 0.22 ohm 1 watt. I would'nt be concerned about using a regular resistor, or maybe use a flame proof if you...
