Re: Pioneer VSX-523-K Amplifier - Identify resistors

If the 0.47ohms are blown, then the final transistors are as well.

Re: Sennheiser Momentum M2 AEBT Headphones

Maybe it is a voltage regulator, but if it is does not look good with those voltages.
I would trace down the tracks, to see, which pin feeds the two channels and try looking up those ICs power...

Re: Sennheiser Momentum M2 AEBT Headphones

I don't know, if anybody has experience with this type of device, but I would start checking the capacitors for short.

Re: Klipsch R-110SW subwoofer pops when starts

Hi madam1, no I haven't opened it yet, but I will this weekend, and I will look around.
I just wanted to see, what are the opinions, where should I look first.
I'm wondering since the tinsel wire...

Klipsch R-110SW subwoofer pops when starts

I have picked up this sub from a gym, with a broken connection(broken tinsel) between the copper cone and spider.
Replaced that and it is working now, but every time when it starts, it pops.
It...

Re: Onkyo TX-NR616, constantly clicking, no display, no light/led

You solder a long wire, and install the board, that way you can measure the wire outside.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR616, constantly clicking, no display, no light/led

I'm keep saying to you, that you need to solder wires to those joint, where you want to measure.
Look up each IC's schematic, that you want to measure and find the Vcc pin and solder a wire to that.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR616, constantly clicking, no display, no light/led

Those "sounds" are not digital sounds, or need digital processing. So DSP could still be faulty, or have voltage issues. Check the DSP, or HDMI chip for 3.3V.

Re: Harman Kardon AVR 3700 blown standby power

Once, I had to buy a similar transformer(part# CLT9Z076ZE) for an AVR1700, and it was very cheap from Harman directly. It was $6.72. Email: [email protected], (800) 336-4525

Re: Onkyo TX-NR616, constantly clicking, no display, no light/led

I don't think any of us can help you with these.
I don't have his Email, I have contacted him only via forum.
I have never dealt with flashing anything on Onkyos.

Re: Onkyo TX-NR616, constantly clicking, no display, no light/led

In my opinion, your best bet is to talk to Tjmotter(on the other forum), but he is not showing up much lately. I believe, that he quit repairing these receivers.

Re: onkyo tx nr515 - dsp replacement....

That is a possibility for sure. I may had the same issue in the past. That is why, Tj buys Onkyo boards with D version ICs on them, and uses those on his repairs.

Try https://repairalmostanything.com/board/7/audio
Tjmotter is the expert.
The same exact thing happened to me as well and I gave up, at least for a while. It is an old receiver anyway(for me).

Re: onkyo ht-r290 - My Next Project

It is hard to believe, that in those few seconds being on will heat up.
I would replace only the bad one.
Usually, when I have a shorted channel and find the offending final transistor to be...

Re: onkyo ht-r290 - My Next Project

If there is an error, the receiver protects itself and the speakers won't be turned on. There are a few relays, close to the transformer at the back, that do that.
I would check those 0.22 Ohm...

Re: onkyo ht-r290 - My Next Project

I'm not familiar with Onkyos, with integrated amps. BUt most likely one of them has an issue.
The schematic shows three integrated amps, you seem to have only two. So maybe yours is only a 5.1...

Re: onkyo ht-r290 - My Next Project

You have a short at one of the channels, that is why is shutting down. It protects itself.

Re: onkyo ht-r290 - My Next Project

I would start at the amp section. Try measuring the final transistors, on the big heatsink, to see if you find one(or two), that are shorted.
First, you should look around for obvious blown parts,...

Rev B was recalled by TI. It is a bad chip.
