Found a more recent Firmware for it didnt want to apply it til backed up but unable to backup so clenched teeth and applied it, result is freeview issue solved no more black bars ether side but now...

Yes picked up one of these stuck flashing in standby psu checked out ok couldnt attach to a terminal through scart so found matching MB which has worked nicely but just a question really on this tv...

Thought would share this with you its worst condition psu i have seen, ok not seen many PSU prob compared to some but this display is only 4 years old being a commercial one it meant to be on 24/7.

Good news today replaced IC802 but the set still would not turn on however the self test voltages returned. Also noted pin 1 of PL807 should be 2.5v fed from 3.3v via two diodes but was spiking at 8v...

When I was training at college over 20 years ago now for City & Guilds 224 nobody ever mentioned PFC it just did not exist to us, we had lopt frequency drilled into us instead lol and psu regulation...

Yeah IC802 is a L6562 not the dual mosfet shown on schematic.

You just answered my next question lol as was wondering what freq it was switching at, going to get an old scope out later been a few...

Q803 measures ok with multimeter same readings as Q813 + Q814 being 470Ω across +S > -D, -S > +D = <>

Im now happy to wiggle my finger at IC802 because there is Ov come out of pin 7 at all times...

Yeah, handy he has them pre flashed cos cant find that fw elsewhere though the Russians are handy and with more time might have found a ripped rusky copy, comrad. :tongue:

Yay jitter gone perfectly crisp image now by changing LVDS enable setting from 1 to 0 it was that simple!

Thankyou very much ducky29, despite the lack of a source button on remote it worked with input 2580! :)

Hopefully there will be something in there to fix the jitter

Hmmm

None of it works been through it all over last few weeks. Its time to fix this by getting the firmware and making them available im looking for MB to rip firmware from if anybody has a board...

This set just has JVC logo on it under license by a well known UK electrical retailer, JVC not really involved other than harming there own reputation IMO.
