Re: Samsung LN52B750 Capacitors 52" LCD TV help
Panasonic FC, FM, and FR caps are recommended a lot here. There are quite a few other good brands. You can go up in voltage without any problem - I'd upgrade to at least 25V. The physical size of the...

Re: Toshiba 42HP66 Plasma Voltage Help
Yes, it sounds like the YSus died; the IPM most likely is shot. Generally, it's recommended that both ZSus and YSus IPMs be replaced at the same time because of similar wear rates. If you're going to...

Re: Toshiba 42HP66 Plasma Voltage Help
If your VS and VA voltages can be adjusted to spec, you may have issues with the YSus. BTW, the original ZSus probably has a blown IPM (large module under the heat sink).

Re: LG 50PV450 goes black after a few seconds
You can do other tests on the YSus, ZSus and PSU, but the main board is most likely faulty based on your symptom description. They are generally only repairable by the average DIY'er in rare...

Re: LG 50PV450 goes black after a few seconds
If the cable box was damaged, the TVs main board may also be toast. You can try running test patterns to see if you get anything onscreen. To run test patterns:
(1) Unplug TV.
(2) Disconnect the...

Re: Polaroid FLM-3701 no power/ standy light
It could be the angle of the pic, but it looks like you have quite a few blown caps on the left side of pic 2. I count 8 - possibly 9. I can't clearly see the cap closer to the top of the pic on the...

Re: Help Samsung PN43D490A1D
Don't sweat it. No one here is all-knowing. I can't count how many times I've made posts I wish I could have back.

Re: Help Samsung PN43D490A1D
I'd guess that the connector was not fully seated because the OP had just pulled it to do a test. Also, I don't see any bad caps in those pics.

Re: LG 42PC3DVA Plasma no picture.
I've heard of people cutting the pins - never had to do it myself. Heat gun on low setting, maybe? Also, did you try adding some fresh solder to help with flow?
