U1 is a 5v to 3v converter. The capacitor is 100uf 10v and for the diode I've used 1N4148.

I've always cleaned with a ball of leaded solder followed by removing the rest with some decent braid. I've never had any issues.
Of course it all needs removing, otherwise there will be uneven...

It's a tantalum capacitor. The green disc is an inrush limiter. The fuse is next to it covered in heatshrink.

LG 50PJ350 bad buffer ?
My friend has a 50PJ350 that would turn straight off after power on.
YSUS and ZSUS had shorted components and they were replaced.
The TV now powers on, some white speckles appear from the bottom...
