It all depends on what kinds of loads were on them (high ripple) and how hot they had been running at. Under normal loads and kept relatively cool, yea....MBZ and MCZ were pretty robust....but...

The tabs breaking off a socket370 meant the kiss of death... That one can easily be replaced. The socket-A/462 had the 3-tab sockets, and were pretty tough if using a heatsink that grabbed all 3.

Made a lowball offer on a Voodoo3500 w/ the breakout dongle, in untested condition (seller said no AGP system to test it). Seller accepted lowball. Card arrived today and in very clean condition...

Yes, it's a Precision 410, dual P2/P3 (slot-1). It came with a pair of Katmai 500's....but you know me better than that!! That's not what's in it now. It also came with the ARO1130 RAID addon card...

Bench meter current trip set @ 200ma. Pull beyond that it would have shut down. At no point did I see it pull more than ~50ma. I monitored it the first few hours.
