Re: Dreambox 500s no power on

There is no reason for C421 to burn, It is just across the 12 volt input, the cap may have been bad, Look at where it is in the schematic, there is no reason for it to burn, in fact you can leave the...

Re: Dreambox 500s no power on

c421 can be almost any ceramic cap that looks about the same size, the cap is not that important in the circuit. It can be left out if you like to check the receiver with the original adaptor

Re: Dreambox 500s no power on

The adaptor could be bad. What happens to the 12 volts when the receiver turns off?, Yes you can use the 12v 3a adaptor as long as the center pin is positive. The 100f cap will be ok.

Re: Kitchen range hood not turning on

You likely still have a problem with the power supply/control board, maybe you missed a cap? or maybe there is a poor connection making the fault intermittent.

For U300, check which pin is ground. if pin #1 is ground, it is likely a SG6742HR, If pin #4 is ground it could be a FAN6300

Re: Dreambox 500s no power on

C422 can only "BURN" with the wrong polarity
D46 or C421 is shorted! someone supplied the wrong polarity voltage to the dm500. the center pin must be positive. The ferrite bead is NOT THE ISSUE. it...

What is the value of R129 that IS used on your board? the schematic lists 100Ω. U300 lists FAN6300

Re: Acer AL1916W - Two seconds to black - Voltage regulator problem?

Your so called S9 is not a regulator, it is the drain of the primary mosfet and will have around 160vDC plus the switching pulse. This is on the primary side so you must use hot ground as a reference...

Re: Dreambox 500s no power on

If C422 is getting HOT, it is either shorted or the adaptor has the wrong polarity.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 245b BN44-00195A

Check the voltage across CP804, this is the VCC for ICM801, (what is the number on ICM801)? is it MC33067?
The VCC should be on JB816 (use Hot ground to check this voltage)

Re: Condenser tumble dryer component id

It is a 470 microhenry coil, NOT a resistor, the 2.2Ω is likely your meter leads plus the inductor DC resistance which is likely under 1Ω.

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

Having a defective ic801 could kill the vcc coming from Q907's collector but if you want to be sure, isolate the emitter of Q806 which supplies ic801's vcc, Q806 is a 13v regulator for ic801 and is...

Re: Philips 42PFL3606H/58 Not powering on, no power indicator - PSU problem?

If you are getting +7.43v on the E and next to nothing on the collector, you likely have either a shorted vcc on ic902, or ic901. D916/C946 are the vcc supply, Q907 is the vcc switch for the pfc and...
