so the solution is to return to what Jaguar and Rover used to do and fit a sealed battery box in the trunk.
most custom/performance shops sell battery boxes for this purpose.

it may be an intentional restriction for legal reasons.

electric start is an electric vehicle,
but if you have to kick off then it's classed as electric assisted.

philips make 135degree caps,
i dont think the esr and ripple are good on the really high temp stuff though - they are generally intended for stuff like gas ignitor units.

alternator is always the first suspect.
followed by the stereo and ecu because both are across the power - but alternater failure is very common.

start by removing the letters from the front - they usually indicate the maker.
so you have 27U1G8F2CTR

next remove trailing letters - because they often indicate stuff like revision or package...

the joke is that at those frequency's your getting huge losses in the cable.
they should have flipped the board and mounted the socket against the case top for a direct antenna connection.
