I don't see why you cant use led strips from other tvs just two wire per strip.

and it runs at 3.3 volts replaced c1 and c3 smd cap.

http://www.shopjimmy.com/vizio-55-75u02-001g-ir-sensor.htm it looks like this and lookie here they're sold out of them but all u need to do is replace the 2 smd cap 1 larger the other smaller.

okay figured it out it was the ir board for remote it was loading down main. tv works good now

replaced regulator no dice, followed high resistance right to cpu toast new board on its way. will update results.

had until it started to chrip. had a bunch of shorted smd caps right under cpu removed and still shorted so cpu is toast now and gets really hot.. Another main on its way. it had AL+3.3V until we did...

The hottest device on main is Ic1 which is a LD1117AG voltage regulator only reaches 94 degrees f. other LD1117 only reaches about 74 degrees f.
Nothing smoking hot...

That is what page one of schematic was saying budm provided,,,, saying the source of al=3.3v is on main.

ok with main disconnected voltages do stabilize the ones present anyways i have no idea how to force this set on since it has a led driver board. interesting anyhow.

Ok this one is the biggest set i have worked on and is different design that i am used to dealing with. no signs of life.

Open her up " was a pain" btw due to metal snap clips.

just decided to replace both boards since this tv has multiple things going on. there was an attempt to repair this tv by another shop and far as i can tell its a butchered mess with multi symptoms....

That raises one big question however, how is this thing getting standby with main connected but not when disconnected, back feeding from somewhere?
