What is the DMM? I just used the tv ground as ground, like a screw hole. Works great.



This is why I was wondering if there is a firmware somewhere I can re-flash the tv with.

ok, just tired..

The 18V reads 21.5v

the 12v reads 12v

the STB reads 85mv

the SW and other hot leads are about 0.1mv

So, I've been through almost three power supplies on this TV now :(

The first was all sorts of bad....

The second I got a solid red light, thought it was the standby.... That came from ebay...

Update: I just soldered on a new diode from a VCR that was "40" instead of "30" and works great.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I realized the TV was tripping after I measured...

I went and measured that same chip again. I get ~50v now on all of the pins except the drain to the mains filter cap (I guess those are on the front visible side)
