Check the input voltage to the micro controller to make sure that it is correct voltage ( battery voltage ) especially sense you have one to compare to

Component tester which one is worth the money from it capability to test and identify

I am thinking of buying a component tester but I want to get the most out of the device for the money that I am going to spend

Any idea but I would prefer actual use of the device it good points...

I think should try it with out the resistor 3.5 k ohms and see what happens but only do 100 milliamperes or less and see if you get meter movement that is close to what you think it should be with...

I am not sure if the meter coil needs to be setup for current because there meters that are setup this way I can not tell you what the difference between them is

I might check some of the capacitors on the motherboard but I have not had much success with recapping motherboard because of the fact of so many layers on these boards the soldering joints come off...

I did a quick Google search on “Nuvoton” and found that it is a controller ic chip and if this is the case to me it not worth trying to...

This is a desktop computer not a laptop computer

I did a quick Google search on this “EC ic” and it talks about laptops computers

The question is it worth trying to repair this issue

Sometimes you have to use a higher wattage light bulb for it work more like it would plugged directly into the wall

Here is a post where I used the light bulb contraption ( instead of the fuse )...

This depends on the meter module to what voltage it will work at
Now some meter modules can be modified to work on a separate power supply I have done this personally before but not all can be done...
