Re: Any TV LED'S compatible with each other?

Problems is the lenses have to line up with the reflector sheet. So technically it’s possible, but most likely won’t work without extra work. Easier to buy the right strips if possible.

Re: samsung un65nu6900f common problem, digging deeper

Not to be bearer of bad news. But these TVs were doomed from the start. “Nu” series have backlight issues where they get to hot, fail and melt the plastics beneath the screen. Glad you found a...

Re: Samsung UE65KS9000 lines and reboot loop

Looking closer at your pics in the first post. The 7th pic shows the cof tab burned up if I not mistaken. I had this happen on a 75” ks9000 model before.

I got it from a customer. I plugged it in...

Re: Samsung QE55Q85RAT bootloop

Try unplugging the cables going to the panel and see if the tv stays on. It won’t show a picture but if it stays on and doesn’t reboot its a problem with the panel.

You can try the tape cutoff...

Re: Samsung UE65KS9000 lines and reboot loop

Your problem looks similar to the diode pack I mentioned that goes bad on the buffer board only when most go bad we get no picture at all just lines.

Try putting flux on the resistors and diode...

Re: Samsung UE65KS9000 lines and reboot loop

I know about the NU and TU series and they are junk. I never had any real problems with the KS series of TVs. Other than the diode pack that goes bad on the buffer boards.

The ks series in my...

Re: Samsung UE55JU6050U Update

I had an issue with a tv like that. The backlights would go out as soon as I put he back cover back in.
Turned out to be bad soldering connection on the transformer.

Check all solder points

Re: Interesting tv screen restoration

Thanks for sharing. It can be done. But looks like a lot of work. At that point I think I’m buying a new tv and using for parts.

Re: LG TV shuts of (70uh6350ub)

When the backlights fail in this tv it cuts off.

Some TVs will stay on even with no backlights that’s how you see the picture with the flashlight test and hear sound.

Ie: Roku TVs stay in...

Re: TCL 65S4 Backlight Troubleshooting

I just replaced the backlights in this model. It’s definitely the backlights causing your issue.
The screen is difficult to get out since they used double sided tape. Have to be careful not to...

Re: LG TV shuts of (70uh6350ub)

There is a safety wire you can cut in the harness and it will disable the tv from cutting off from backlight fault. I would not use the tv like this as it can cause a fire and will kill the other...

Re: Samsung UE65RU7379U , Question about replacing led strips

Re: Samsung UE65RU7379U , Question about replacing led strips

Not worth fixing. Even if you replace leds you will see the black burn marks. And if you clean them off you will get bright hotspots unless you replace that diffuser.

Re: Samsung UN65NU6900F

+1 everyone. This is well documented on the “NU” series. Honest opinion is not worth fixing. The exact same thing will happen again. Backlights go out and you will have that hotspot unless you...

Re: Sony XBR-55X800H Lightning damaged

I’m not sure about this model. But some TVs you can unplug the ir sensor and just turn on the tv from the joystick/ button on the tv.

Re: LCD screen swap between UE65JS9500 and UE65JS9000

Re: LCD screen swap between UE65JS9500 and UE65JS9000

I’m almost positive it will work as long as the versions of each TV is the same. I’m in the US and I believe the only difference in models is one is curved and the other is flat.

Just try swapping...

Re: Samsung ue55nu7096u - no backlight - faulty LEDs?

Re: LG 65UH652T won't turn on

It’s the backlights 100%.
I don’t even troubleshoot anything else on these sets. It’s always the backlights
