teapo are pretty good if kept cool, i wouldnt drop to 3300uf unless you have no choice.
what diameter is it?

i avoid this by blocking the current jack on my meters and only testing current with a clampmeter.

can you draw a diagram of how it connects to everything else?

there is probably a better way, if not then that;s an easy fix i suspect.

that was destined to fail,
there is no diode across the relay coil to protect the transistor!!!

get rid of the rubber around the tny chip so you can see if it;s damaged and replace the 2 caps next to it - the small one starts it up.

your blocking DC while allowing as much AC signal as possible,
so as long as the cap has the bandwidth, the lower the esr the less losses you will incure.
having said that, video signals dont have...

o.k. it could be a bad output capacitor, diode or opto isolator just for example.
put the original resistor back - it's a fuseable safety part!!
