I would start checking LDO Voltage Regulator IC's on the main board.

The 6.8 Ohm across the relay contact is for limiting inrush current when power is applies to the circuit, the relay is closed to bypass the resistor when TV is turned on.

3 years warrant on Parts & Labor?
If not they can charge you big labor that can be more than what the product is worth.
I doubt that they will stock new replacement LCD panel for 3 years.

It means you can buy crap with longer warranty, instead of making good products so you know you do not have to worry about repairing them for a long time if you make it right in the first place....

Sad, 1 years old TV that failed due to bad design, poor thermal management.
If you can get it running again I would turn down the backlights to 50%.
