haha lucky u. over here in singapore, the laws here dont allow u to remove wildlife (this includes wild vegetation and fruits) from its natural habitat and u are not allowed to feed the wildlife. so...

note that this type of error usually indicates a bad/failed hard drive so u may have more than one failed component in that system.

try clearing the cmos with the clear cmos jumper. sometimes after changing the cmos battery, the board will become glitched until the cmos is cleared.

i checked wikipedia's video card list and it appears that the mx4000 is simply an agp 8x version of the mx420 crippled with a 64-bit mem bus. check the list here...

the xfx 8600 gt is a factory overclocked card, i guess; but the gpu isnt the only thing that is factory overclocked. the samsung 1.4ns vram on it should have a nominal clock of 700 mhz but xfx has it...

to be precise, what i do is simply video card cooler replacement with an already pre-made aftermarket one. i do not modify the existing heatsink or any existing heatsink to fit a video card as i lack...

bad luck i guess. if the drive was sitting on the shelf instead of behind the counter, it may have gone through lots of fiddling and moving around with and someone else could have dropped the drive...
