Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

It looks like the ic is trying to start, Are you getting any voltage on the S_B5V line?
A couple things to check would be CB872 (22uf/50v) CB810 (1uf/50v) or maybe the 5 volt filter, cb876 or...

Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

Yes they can. The power supply should produce +5 volts standby, Once that is working the rest of the power supply can be tested, either by connecting the main board or forcing the PSON pin by...

Re: DELL U2410 monitor psb capacitors

Post pictures, 105c caps are fine, slightly better as far as temperature goes, also don't forget to check the small value caps, (like 1, 4.7 10 uf etc.) usually at 50 volts, they go bad and look...

Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

If you look at the schematic I provided, you will see pin #6 NC (No Connection) You can look up (google) the pdf for the ic which is ICE3B0365J, it will explain the pinouts and what they do.
If you...

Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

If you are going to google for the answers good luck. Replacing that ic will do nothing if you don't have standby voltage.

Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

Why would you remove that ic? I thought you did NOT have 5 volts standby (S_B5V)? That is ICB801s the small 8 pin ic
If this ic (ICB801s) is not working, you will never get ICM801S to turn on. That...

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS20 power supply repair (OK fuse, no shorts)

Have you check the voltage on CN4 pin 3 ST_BY (this should be the power suuply on command from the main board) Check it and push the power button, see if it changes?

Re: Samsung Syncmaster

I checked the other threads and one said they measured the 14.5 as 13.?? so its likely normal. The only other schematic I found that used the sem2105 was for a BN44-00251D.
Seems theTN-09210 fixes a...

Re: Lg32lb561v power supply(i think?) problem

Those caps are definitely bad. How many wires go to the leds? If it is just two and you measure 64v I would think the backlights should be on
If you measure the voltage from the led (-) to ground...

Re: Panasonic TH50pz80u

Is that a picture of the original power supply or the replacement? The reason I ask is that one of the three Vs caps (one on the left) looks a bit domed, It might just be the way the photo was taken.

Re: Lg32lb561v power supply(i think?) problem

What made you think those caps were blown? they usually don't give a problem, Usually a high led voltage indicates an open led string in the panel.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS20 power supply repair (OK fuse, no shorts)

Good catch dannyx, that must be the reason, On a normal schematic drawing it may have been more obvious, at least they put the transformer and the ic and fet on the same page.

If there is no gate...

Re: Samsung PN42C450 B1DXZA Doesn't Power On

If the resistor reads double (400K) it could be bad or something could be throwing the reading off, Too be 100% sure you would need to remove it
Try reversing the meter leads and check it again, if...

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS20 power supply repair (OK fuse, no shorts)

No, If the ic is NOT working you will NOT get VCC_MAIN. although it is drawn on the primary side it is a scondary winding, so no primary switching, no secondary voltage.

Re: Need help with LED Power Supply Design

You should have a cap on the lm317 output, around 10-47uf should be ok, these regulators can go into oscillation without it.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS20 power supply repair (OK fuse, no shorts)

I missed that in the picture, should have looked closer. thanks dick_barton

If you do have 13.5v on VCC_MAIN (VCC_M) You should have the other voltages from the transformer (24v_AC) which feed...

Re: LG 60PB6650 - Bad ZSUS (3.8v to YSUS instead of 16v)?

Re: Samsung 245B 00173A No power No blue LED

Did you check RB813 (1.5Ω) ? also check the voltages on the ic, like pin 7 VCC. It is a simple circuit, the ic does most of the work, It takes the high voltage on pin 5 and internally (startup cell)...
