Re: Antec PSU - Panasonic FS capacitors

Re: Antec PSU - Panasonic FS capacitors

It's totally ok to replace the 4700uF caps with 3300uF capacitors. Personally, I have recapped several Antec psus with Panasonic FK 10mm 3300uF 6.3V for 3.3V and 5V output rails without any problem....

Re: Hard drive reliability

All this sequence of sounds makes you feel you have some serious machine and not a toy, as with today's fanless laptops with SSD.

Re: the gutless, bloated, and fried power supply hall of shame

Excellent pictures! Nice quality and focus.

Looks like the engineer that designed this thing was high! I really hate the way parts are placed on PCB.

Re: Fsp250-60hen

Exactly.

KM series is as bad as any other Capxon series is. I had good luck only with Capxon primary caps, but this is not a big achievement...

I believe that the datasheets they publish is...

Re: Fsp250-60hen

Nope, it's too low. 120uF should be the minimum requirement for ATX smps and even then, the holdup time must be terrible.

I would rather my psus not explode, but even if it does, it wont take the...

Re: Fsp250-60hen

I'm reviving the thread because I got an FSP250-60HEN for free!

When I got it, it was full of dust. But it's still working!

The APFC heatsink is the thinnest heatsink I have seen in an ATX...

Re: Power supply build quality pictorial. part 2

Sure! The distance is less than 0.3cm (3mm)

Your unit has larger switching transistors (13009 maybe?), bigger transformers, proper fuse holder, and the thermistor is nicely attached to...

Re: Thermaltake TR2-420 blown!

I got another TR2-420 for free recently.

5vsb is ok, but after shorting green wire to black nothing happens, not even a slight move of the fan.

The cap selection is a mixture of Jun Fu and OST,...

Main features:

-Fewer and fewer components used...
