Re: Koban - Current Clamp Meter - DMM

From the above datasheet, page 11:
4. Noise at the power supply may cause a malfunction of the watchdog operation or the circuit.
In such case, please strength the line between VIN and the GND pin...

Re: Koban - Current Clamp Meter - DMM

Some thoughts:
U3 is an IC, see the attached image taken from the datasheet.
Follow the 5 pins traces back to the connected points and test if it`s working.

Q5 is most likely a transistor....

Re: Protek 506 DMM Problem/Fault

 ... let's hope replacing the MAX134 will fix it.

In the mean time you can go thru the calibration procedure to check if all trimmers (VRx) are set to the correct value.
Found the...

Re: Protek 506 DMM Problem/Fault

If pin 25 measures 2.95V then pins 26 to 28 should not read 0V since they're connected thru RN1 to a common point.
Take RN1 out and check if it's the MAX134 that is (wrongly) pulling that pins to...

Re: Protek 506 DMM Problem/Fault

The 1st thing i've noticed was a discrepancy in pin layout between the datasheet & the schematic.

Reading the datasheet "Ohms and diode measurement" section gives some hints on what voltage to...

Re: My Andonstar ADSM201 Microscope Review

Bare in mind ADSM302 max. video output resolution is 1080P Full HD (via HDMI), or 720P (via PC), @30fps max. Therefore you won't take any advantage hooking it up to a 4K TV set.

But nowadays 40"...

Short answer: Yes
Long answer:
But has said before you´ll have to draw a line where you want to stop the increase in complexity and cost vs. the ripple output noise.

IMO in a typical "all...

Re: DPS5020 dual power supply build

Seen the videos and ripple measurements.

IMO, taken in consideration the specs (and price!) the ripple results fall within the advertised 100mV typical, reaching 150mV @ maximum current output...

Re: Need software for Intelligent universal programmer lk48

Used i guess... are you sure it was working?

In BIOS settings try changing the LPT port mode to EPP or ECP.
Also make sure LPT1 is set to port 0x378.
Make sure you're using a full EPP wired...

For those i've always used the Labtool-48UXP without any problems whatsoever (any GAL/PAL brand).

Re: New Tiny Pad Installation

imo some QFN allow it to be done... or at least trimmed from backwards to the side (see picture attached to this post (https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpost.php?p=924762&postcount=12))

Re: New Tiny Pad Installation

Sure, that's why i mentioned "bend".
Most low count I/O QFN ICs usually allow the pads to be bent outwards the package (from backwards to the side).
