Re: Win7 Chrome Support May End July 2021

Probably. That's 18 months from now. Mozilla has not announced yet, but I could see them being on-par with this time line. As I've always said, an OS is not obsolete for mainstream consumer use...

Re: Just when you thought polymers gave a PC eternal life! - The GX745 SFF Calamity!

Re: Topcat's Dream Service Bench Reborn!

Boring slow Monday....so I figured I'd play around with my vectorscope. I never had a complete understanding of how this thing worked, it came in a lot I bought from a debunked TV shop back in the...

Re: The 2020 Operating System Thread

I've done several 1903 builds for clients....functions pretty decent....but there's always the 'shut up' issue. I also noticed in 1903, THIS ISSUE...

Re: Not Even BCN's Russia Connections Can Top This One - Supermicro S2DGU Build

Thanks. This one is one of my favorite retro builds....Always wanted a slot-2 gamer way back in the day....not only were they way out of my budget, they were hard to find in non-server formats (ATX...

Re: The 2020 Operating System Thread

 Same here. My office machine is the heaviest used....and the one that would be the most difficult/frustrating to migrate. If security patches make their way down, it'll kick the can down...

Re: AT power supply help

AT PSU = Wires carrying line voltage to a mechanical power switch in the front of the case....unlike an ATX where all high voltage is safely contained inside the PSU housing. I've seen quite a few...

Re: The 2020 Operating System Thread

If I said it, I don't recall....but it's possible...as long as 10 has been out, I still haven't warmed up to it. It functions nice (inspite of me not liking the removal of aero glass), I will say...

Re: The 2020 Operating System Thread

Re: The 2020 Operating System Thread

I knew this year's poll would be interesting. Last year was still overwhelmingly Win7....seems so many have ditched 7 for the evil known as 10......

Some GL Quake1 in 1024x768! The bliss of 3DFX cards and really old games. I couldn't make this work with...

Re: My Latest 8-core Project

I typically put a dab of non-conductive dielectric grease on them, it stops the corrosion dead. Do this for the motor & head interface on the underside of the PCB (it has to be removed from the...
