Re: Pioneer VSX-531

CP403 supplies B+ and B- for the amp outputs. You likely have shorted output transistors in one or more channels. Check the voltage on each pin of CP402, they should be near 0 volts

Re: GW GOS 3310 oscilliscope

It is highly likely the cap is ok, it is just the heatshrink on the cap has shrunk due to heat from the 3 thermistors next to it. I believe those are oil filled caps. If the scope is working leave...

Re: Harvester keypad. No lights

What is the source for the led voltage? and is it there? If the source voltage is steady, then the fault will be in the sink side which is the ic. All functions like brightness etc. are data...

Re: Harvester keypad. No lights

I missed that about the led's in post #1, I guess I would check if there is supply voltage for the led's, It seems the tlc5943 sinks the led's so there should be full voltage on the output pins when...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

Where did you get the ic that is in there now after the original blew up?
Maybe that has been the problem all along. There is no datasheet on this ic, so it's hard to know the specs (operating...

Re: Help with dead Commodore 1802

I just checked a couple incandescent lamps, these are 120vac 60watt = 16Ω. (Christmas light) 120vac 7 watt = 189Ω, Appliance lamp 120vac 40watt = 27Ω

Re: Need help to identify "7014x" SOIC-8 LED driver

I have found that the MAP3511 may be SIMILAR, It may not be a direct replacement. Check the voltage on CNL803 pin1 when you first turn on the tv.

Re: Vizio D65u-D2 not switching on

If the standby is fluctuating with just a 10Ω load, check U501's vcc and see if it is steady, This voltage needs to be around 16 volts, if it drops below 10 volts the ic restarts. Check the feedback...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

I don't know what else to check, without a scope to see what the ic is doing. The ic should be pulsing the (internal mosfet) drain, that should be pulsing the primary and there should be some voltage...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

C9050/951 would only cause a problem if they both were shorted.
As a test. Monitor for voltage across C951a and with the power supply pluged in, temporarly short PC901 pins 3 to 4 and see if you get...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

D950 and D951 are schottky diodes, they have a lower forward voltage drop so .206 is ok.

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

ZD951 seems low in diode mode, I would think it should be around .6xx
If the main board is not connected, you should be safe leaving ZD951 (6.2v zener) out of circuit for now and see if your 5volts...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

Lift one end of D903, this will eliminate any problems caused by ic902 circuit. Then make sure ZD951 is not shorted.

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

Time to start over and work on the power supply out of the tv and get a stable standby AL+5V. Like I said many times, NOTHING works without a stable standby voltage as it not only supplies the main...

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

You must have poor solder connections somewhere because in one post you HAVE 5 volts standby on C915a, The next post you have NO votage, then in another post the voltage is going from .1~5 volts.

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on

So you think that just because you have 5 volts on ZD907 you should have 5 volts for to supply the main board? Have another look at the schematic.
in post #50 you said:
Where is this voltage...
