I have a basic hex crimping tool I bought at ratshack before they went under. Here is a similar one on amazon. Many different ones for around $20.

On a 2-terminal cap used on AC motors/compressors, they are not polarized. It doesn't matter which terminals are used. Be sure to put 2 red wires on the same terminal or :poof:

I'll give my $.02. My company's policy on running low voltage cabling(regardless of shielding): okay for low voltage cables to cross at 90* within 6 inches. 240 volts or less unshieldied (Romex, etc)...
