Re: Instrument Keyboard Faulty Screen Graphics help

That is an odd looking component next to the ceramic capacitor. :D Does anyone know what that part is? The disk with the "153" color code? Is that just a 1.5k resistor of some kind? Maybe an inductor...

Re: Looking for a NAS

If you were wanting a good solution that will give you enterprise level capabilities but still would allow you to go a bit DIY, might I suggest a little 1u Supermicro plus Freenas?

Re: Dead hand drier autopsy - motor discussion

Oh, I noticed that the opening on the blower cage seems a bit different/more narrow on the opening.. Also, I feel silly not thinking it was a brushless dc motor.. ^^;; That just makes more sense....

Re: Dead hand drier autopsy - motor discussion

Nice. LOL

Does the motor have any identifying marks or labels? Also, I might suspect that it is a standard AC motor, but with something like a rotory encoder/an array of hall effect sensors...

Re: Need help with Shuttle SB83G5A - fans spin but that's all

I don't really have any advice on good ghetto reflow methods because I didn't actually reflow/rework any bga chips until I had an ok hot air station. ^,^; I'm sure I am like those people that learn...

Re: Valeo AC650/690 PRO scales, opamp, PIC controller fault

Ah.. you said that you measured before the op amps, then after them, and then at the input pins of the PIC?

Have you checked for shorts at all between where the ground enters the chip and the...

Re: Asus Zenbook UX330UA odd power issue

Oh, no problem. This was me going off of what SMD flea was mentioning about laptops that do not have CMOS batteries. The idea behind this would be that the battery that is showing as fully charged...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello! So, resistors almost always have 2 legs unless it is some sort of odd SIL resistor.. That sounds more like a surface mount Transistor or voltage regulator to me.

Do you want to post...

Re: Asus Zenbook UX330UA odd power issue

A question on the battery ElJap0.. When you say it is fine, how have you determined this? Have you taken a multimeter and tested the voltage of the pack? If so, have you tried testing it under load? ...
