Re: Soldering advice.

Either use a higher wattage soldering iron or hold the coil end with a long nose pliers on the component side of the board and solder normal way. I have along nosed vice grip pliers that I use.

First of all, PLASMA TVs do not have a T-CON Bd. I think you mean is the LOGIC Bd. Check if you have 5V from the Y-SUS Bd. going to the Logic Bd.

I would RJ but will also change all the following parts: IC801, DM803, CM808, RM803 and DM801.

Basic PLASMA troubleshooting would suggest a defective Logic Bd. Verify for me the Y-Main Bd. is supplying the Logic Bd. with 16Vdc which is usually derive from the M5V source.

With all boards connected set your meter to 750V DC then attach the black meter probe to the chassis and the red probe to the L+ pin of the connector going to the Backlights. Plug-in the TV and...

Replace the Main Filter Capacitors. They may be 330uF 450V or thereabouts.

What is the StdBy voltage as measured on the connector going to the Main Bd and the TV just plugged in the wall 120Vac?

Appears to me that you have a Main Bd problem and to be more exact corrupted software.

Back in the day multi-caps were housed in one container. Used to see them in Zenith TVs, etc. Using separate e-caps would work, just as well.

Can you identify the P-DIM, BL-ON/OFF, 24V and GND wires on the PSU connector? If you can identify these wires, I could help you convert this to a LED Backlight TV.

From my previous experience with TCL TVs, I've found that their LED Drivers go bad after 2-3 yrs. Do you have LED Backlight Tester?

Blowing the Horizontal Output Transistor is usually caused by a defective FlyBack Transformer.

OK. That testing you did tells you that you need to change out ALL the LED strips. TV fixed.
