I believe if you have a short the bulb will light bright and stay bright, the tv should start with tester hooked up, prolly need a 60 watt or so incandescent bulb.

Just for fun, make sure all the caps n such you replaced, that none are in backwards and all have good solder joints and all the other solder joints are good.

I wouldn't be surprised if they fail, They are overdriven, probably on purpose so they can sell more tvs, some peeps do a resistor mod to bring down the current, some tvs also have backlight settings...

Well if it's your own tv, I'd go with the lowest backlight setting you can tolerate, they might last quite a while, it's when they are maxed that they burn out pretty quickly and if one burns out you...

Check some other stuff with your meter, new 9 volt battery or other known voltages.

I'm not buying any backlights from them, pretty sure they get theirs from china anyway so you can get m directly from allied for much cheaper.

This worked for some but who knows:

I've had this problem twice. Here's how I solved it. Turn TV on, as soon as BRAVIA goes off the screen, count a second or two and then quickly change channel....

If any diodes read off, lift a leg out of circuit and test again.
