Re: Sharp TV LC-40LE820X Shutting off on TV function.

Since it takes 20 minutes to become "choppy", it could be a heat related problem. Try heating each board with a hair dryer to see if you can get the failure to occur sooner.

Re: What is the level of repairability of these equipements ?

I think what is worth repairing also depends on what part of the world you live in. Are those welders you work on really expensive and hard to get in your country? If yes, then it makes sense to...

Re: Samsung Plasma TV model PN64F8500 power on issue

The board you have uses a electrolytic cap versus ceramic for the other boards. I would go ahead and use panasonic ones you chose.

Re: Samsung Plasma TV model PN64F8500 power on issue

Thanks for the photo. Would be interesting to know if you have a newer or older version of the Y board as compared to the others in this thread. Yes, the EEU-FR1H220B & EEU-FR1H220 will work fine....

Re: Samsung Plasma TV model PN64F8500 power on issue

without knowing the differences between the 22uf and 30uf y board versions, I would stick with the 22uf. Is there just the single 22uf cap with two empty spaces next to it? You can use a ceramic 22uf...

Re: Sony xbr-75x940d

The question that's begging to be asked is that do you have the correct replacement main board? You can try shopjimmy.com to verify what main boards fit your tv and compare the part number(s) of that...

Re: Samsung Plasma TV model PN64F8500 power on issue

You should look at the Y board photos on this thread to verify that you have a similar looking board. If yes, then you probably have a newer/older version of the board. Assuming it's the same board...

Re: Sony KDL-48W605B no picture but sound

CD14,CD15,CD16,CD17 are probably all the same value. If you have any way to measure capacitance, then you can remove one of the good capacitors and measure it's value.

Re: Panasonic TC-P58S2 troubleshooting

Assuming that one/both replacement power supplies are good, then there's the possibility that the mainboard is bad. If the TV is getting it's signal from an antenna or cable box, then lightning could...

Re: Vizio M50-D1 power supply dual voltage?

I would think that since you're stationed at a military base, then step down transformers would be made available to you at a low price. I'm sure there are plenty of personnel there from the States...

Re: intermitted shutdown at high brightness

Sounds like you have a heat related problem. Maybe a bad solder joint? I suggest you do as nomoresonys recommended and heat up each board with a hairdryer to see if you can shorten the shutdown time.

Really interesting that your negative feedback never showed up. Generally, it's very difficult for the seller to have negative feedback removed.

Re: Replacing LG PSU LGP32-11P with LGP32-09P?

Re: Sharp LC-80LE757U - Click - shuts off

With the power supply unplugged, you can try to isolate the offending opto by cutting out a small piece of metal from an aluminum soda can. Place the metal over an opto and hold one end with your...
