Does it currently have an eMachine or HP BIOS?

If it's an HP BIOS then it will work.

If it's an eMachine BIOS then it might work, might refuse to install, and there's a slim chance it will break the BIOS.

That's not an emachines thing it's about cross-flashing from one companies BIOS to another companies BIOS.
Usually simply works or doesn't but there is -some- risk of ruining the BIOS chip.

Just want to make you aware of the realities of cross-flashing.

Me, I'd try it and see but trashing the board wouldn't ruin my day.
It might yours.

eMachines, but as you said they used it in HP systems as well. Will give it a shot once I have a PC with a working floppy drive.
