Problem converting M.2 to U.2 Nvme

    Hi everyone
I would like to take my intel M.2 ssd ssdpeknw010t8 out of the case for practical reasons, I tried the conversion from M.2 to U.2 with these adapters bought on amazon,

    https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07...%20psc%20=%201
    https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B06...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But it didn't work the ssd is not detected by the computer. The motherboard is a gigabyte z390 designate and is equipped with two M.2 Nvme slots. I did the operation twice thinking that one of the two adapters was faulty, so I returned everything to amazon and took two more, but nothing to do. I can't understand where the problem lies since all my configuration is set up for such a connection, is it possible that the SSD is not compatible? I hope someone can give me an answer
    Thanks

While I think that these 2 interfaces may be electrically compatible(no information available) the connectors are not. This is for converting M2 slot to connect U2 drive. Not connecting M2 slot to M2 drive via cable. I think that this will not work with M2 slot to M2 drive. Also, it is a bad idea to put M2 drive on cable. They are bare PCB-s with no covers whatsoever.
Useful conversions. I don't "speak" imperial. Please use metric, if you want to address me.

forgive me but because they sell them if they don't work, the connectors are completely compatible with each other, my example is of a completely open box but there are also closed ones, with no exposed contacts

That's strange. Yesterday, when I clicked on the links in your post, both times a page with m2 to u2 adapter opened. Today, both links lead to U2 to M2 PCB adapter. If you connect M2 to U2 adapter with cable to U2 to M2 adapter, it should work. But with this stuff you never know.
Are you sure that your SSD is PCIE/MVME M2?

yes, absolutely sure, now I got another one to get rid of this doubt that it is the ssd not compatible, I got this https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07...00?ie=UTF8&psc = 1
tomorrow I will do this further test, that you know can I connect the two ssd to the z390 designare to do the cloning?

MSI gaming laptop randomly does not detect nvme (MS-16J51 board)
                    by Grouickman
                    Hello,

Since 5 or 6 months my old MSI laptop (based on MS-16J51 board, I don't have the machine with me atm, i'll update the exact number when I'll get home) started randomly loosing the nvme drive.

At first I thought it was a bios issue, changed the bios battery that was a bit low, but did not solve the issue.

It used to happen like once every 2 or 3 weeks, but now it became more frequent and can happen several time in the same day if you restart the computer.

It looses the nvme at power-up (will boot to bios and report no nvme drive but still...

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                    by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                    1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                    2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                    3. Problem: TV shuts down

Yes, I know I don't post this stuff much anymore....the only reason I'm posting this one is because of a NVMe adapter incompatibility; seems rather planned by Supermicro.....or I'm atleast a bit suspicious. It's plenty new enough to have a UEFI bios but a short 'happy list' of NVMe controllers that will work with this board, as if by some 'miracle', all Intel....so lets start at the beginning; we'll get back to this later.

Of course the motherboard is as the thread title states; X10dai....but we'lre going to have some fun shoehorning this into a modern 'gamer case' that can actually...
