http://www.gzip.org/
Apparently tar.gz is the gzip source code -
Re: What should I use to open a tar.gz
You don't state OS, but under Windows 7-Zip handles both tar and gzip (gz). Tar is a Unix/Linux archive file and gzip compresses this file.
Add: I assume Windows, because under a Linux distribution the file would be handled automatically by the front end.------------

Any of the major file compression programs will open it.
WinZip: WinZip Official Site
WinRAR: RAR Labs
7-Zip: 7-Zip Home

by Xan03Hi everybody,
my 11 year old Eizo FS2333 started having issues today for the first time, the backlight suddenly got very dim and started flickering. I thought that I could run the monitor at 40-50% brightness as a stopgap (100% normally) but even then it flickers a lot. I'm guessing it's failing capacitors on the power board. The boards for this monitor look like this:

by jkb242There are some resources here with BVRE file extension but I have been unable to open any of them with the Windows version of Openview software.
The file format is simply not supported when attempting to open with Openview 8.0 or 9.03, the only released versions of OpenView that I have been able to find. Any solution for this with Openview?
Much thanks,-

by DobsukHi, i have got one Pioneer PD-Z560T 2 CDs player. The problem is that it is open tray 2 but close it immdetiatelly and does not open tray 1 at all. At the same time it does not play the CD which i managed to insert into tray 2. Just uploaded some short videot here as it is not very easy to explain that is happening. I can hear some noice as something is trying to spin the disc or something but do not have any idea when it is coming from.
Any advises, please? Thanks.-
