        1) Try running a standalone CD virus scanner. Boot PC from CD-ROM or DVD-ROM and let program run.

        Lots to choose from ...

        2) Try a live linux CD/USB and see how long it takes to boot. It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes.

Scan the HDD for errors with the manufacturers diagnostic tool, possibly it has bad sectors or is otherwise failing.

              ok.... Whats wrong here?

On a more serious note: Sounds like the HDD is failing or a driver is hanging. Can Win10 boot into safe mode anymore? If so i would do that and see what driver it hangs on.

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

                Re: win 10 slow boot

Hi Chich, could possibly be a problem with the Hard Drive but i've seen loads of Windows 10 installs suffer severe slowdown after Windows Updates have been downloaded and installed. How is the Computer behaving when it finally loads up the Desktop, is it working normally or still slow?, download Macrorits Disk Scanner from the following ink and run it to check your Hard Drive

                http://macrorit.com/disk-surface-tes...face-test.html

Let us know the outcome, also did your Computer come with Windows 10 pre installed or did you avail of the free Upgrade ?. on most of the Computer i've seen with the free upgrade the Hard Drive activity seems to continuously run at 100%, on most occasions nothing seems to fix it ie. disabling unnecessary services or startup entries etc, wouldnt be the cause of your slow boot up but if Windows is running very slow itself check it out by pressing 'Ctrl,Alt, Del', select 'Task Manager' and have a look, again let us know your findings

or maybe the hard drive just needs a defrag is all. also since its an oem pc from dell, most likely it comes with tons of bloatware bogging it down. run pc decrapifier to debloat?

on a lighter note, most likely win10 is just gathering all of your personal data on the hard drive and sending it to m$. hahaha! hope u dont have anything naughty on there, man!
