This is one of my ongoing builds - a Geforce 6100/nF405 based S754 system.
First of all,it's comprised of:
JNC RJA-8673 case - Deer built, but it didn't came with the usual gutless "B" revision JNC,instead with a "laptop charger sized PCB" Intex 430W PSU.
Delux ATX-450W P4 PSU*
ASRock K8NF6G-VSTA - one of ASRock's PCI-E S754 system, based on the GF6100 chipset. After I gave it a big enough heatsink (not some gigantic stuff,it's a big i865PE heatsink) it runs warm, nowhere near hot.
8GB WDC Protege HDD - only thing I had around, and it's got Windows 7 on it. Gonna be replaced by a 20GB Maxtor 6E020L0 in good condition (very light usage)
GPU - integrated at the moment - will try and source a GPU - either a GF8600 or some cheap 1GB "GT 210" GPU
ODD - a Sony CD-RW\DVD-ROM drive.
RAM - 512MB Kingmax stick - 448MB available,since I allocated the nVidia iGPU 256MB shared VRAM.
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 2800+ 1.8GHz - came inserted the wrong way
KB - A4Tech KB-720 - cheap,but solid
MS - Segotep C-K106 - gutless wonder at its finest. Cursor goes nuts if I lift the mouse from the surface it sits on.
*this PSU is known over here in Romania, and for all the WRONG reasons. Quite ironically, the unit I got is actually decent (save for missing EMI filter but if we talk about this, almost nothing that I use here has any problem with the missing EMI filters in PSUs.) and it's built by a company named "KissQuiet". I've had worse Delux units through my hands, the worst being built by nobody else than Sun Pro. The middle end units are built by KQ and a noname company that is also behind everell's iMicro PSUs,and the high end ones are said to be built on low-end FSP units. (is that true? The only Delux unit I could recognize it was a FSP had some screws to indicate the PFC,and not a lot of Delux units have any PFC at all.)
All in all, this is my build. Stay tuned.
