"...ready to take an axe to this junk that Dell created."
Creative had a hand in it too.
The only thing i came up with was an iso of the webcam central ver. 1.40.05 possibly for XP.
            I think yer screwed RD.

IDK- the graphics are powerVR so linux is more or less not an option.

from what i'v been reading the m$ video driver may as well be a frame-buffer.

Yeah... knowing my luck the software was on the restore partition I instinctively (and stupidly) wiped.

I have a collection of the harder to find softwares on the file server...

Yeah I've sorta read that there are no good drivers for any platform. All I know is the linux driver has no 3D support and the rest is flakey (although the information is old). I might try installing arch to it anyway and seeing how bad it is.

No bueno, the gma500_gfx driver is busted and won't even work on the CLI. As soon as it goes to change the resolution, it gives a bunch of i2c HDMI errors and then powers the tablet off, hard.

Shoulda saved for a Surface pro...

I've had good luck with MotionComputing tablets and Linux. Just sayn'
Things I've fixed: anything from semis to crappy Chinese $2 radios, and now an IoT Dildo....

Because I can work with win8; however, I can't do shit with 10.

The surface pro has the power of a laptop, only in the body of a tablet. With modded 8.1 it works well.
