    Bamboo?!

OK, so I've seen Dell products before.... really nice products made out of metal and plastic. I own Dell PCs made of plastic as well. But what the hell are they thinking now?! A PC made out of bamboo?! What's next? I have termites eating away my PC?!

    Check it out?.

I think that them green people have taken this way tooooo far. First it was bloody pain in the ass ROHS and now this.
I don't mind people taking care of global warming and the environment, driving Prius cars etc. But now the PC as well?!. I think next we'll be forced to live in cardboard houses.
By the way, I've seen ATX cases made out of cardboard in Japan which is a concern....

    whaddayawant? looks awesome!
seriously, this is the best-looking desktop i've ever seen. (and probably better than ANY computer case)

oh yeah, that cardboard case that required, hah, folding at home...
    THAT was ugly.

I like it: anyway, it seems so small I doubt you'll fill with an extreme SLI configuration It's more something like Via Epias: emebedded pcs with low power, low consumption electronic parts. It would be a nice appliance, though, if Dell keeps its price quite low.

Hmmm not a great idea: it may sink
A water computer is better, don't you think? It's the only computer capable of making coffee

i was involved in the building of the lexan cased computers a few years back for the dayton computerfest lan party.
they were featured on toms hardware.
stil have several nib cases that i will build for the hell of it someday.cant really use them here.
              they make too much rfi.
and i would bsod them when i run 1.5 kw on 2m ssb.

I'd have to say that the Dell babmboo PC looks quite nice. But what about the constant heat coming out of that? wouldn't that like make the bamboo crack due to heat etc. over long periods of time.

Don't worry, this is a case for low power computers: the whole pc draws about a third of your Pentium D , so heat isn't a real threat for the wood but dust may be an enemy for electronics (it kills ventilation).

I bought a case of them the battery cells are made in China the charge curve looks decent for 1 amp charging rate there is also a BMS protection board which here is the website link to them

Here are more of the same but the difference is that they do not have the BMS protection boards but have the tabbing on them

                    Tv taping method made easy
                    by handsworth
Just wanted to share some information that I ran across when attempting to do the tape method on a tv with a shorted panel. I normally use magnifying glasses however while watching a you tube video, the person was using their phone. It seems that the Iphone has a magnifier app and wow, it works great. I have Iphone 11 and the app is built in. Pictures attached are screen shots. Made taping the pins a breeze. Also useful when reading the tiny print on the boards. Hope this helps somebody. ...

LG OLED C1 Pixel Cleaning Made Picture Worse
                    by rumi409
                     Hi,

I'm trying to resurrect a LG OLED C1 TV that has some panel banding. I used the TCON error bypass to get a picture. I was able to update the firmware as well. But when I performed a pixel cleaning to try to get the banding out, it made the image significantly worse. I tried to undo the effects of the pixel cleaning by performing a factory reset and IN_Stop, but that didn't work. Any way to reset pixel cleaning data?...

                    Home made audio amp help
                    by ivtec
Hi folks i need some help from the electronics pros on a small audio amp for my old lcd tv that sound is too low on the speakers despite to be on the max volume, i know the issue is on the main board , the only solution is to buy a new board but i don't want to shell out 50 bucks for a board . I have seen in Utube some home made audio amps but i'm weary about those projects, i 've seen a audio buit with an STK audio amp ,. I don't have STK4142, i have STK4273, my question if this is not fake and works can i do it with STK4273 instead of STK4142? thanks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcTZS5Y...
