Case LED connectors and motherboard headers

Does anyone know what the 3 pin connector for the "Fan Fail" LED on a Codegen 4U-500 case would connect to? I'm assuming it's a bi-color LED and thus 3 pins, but I've never seen any motherboard with a connection for it. It looks like a WOL connector, only bigger. It is not the type of connector that goes to a fan header. I'd post a pic, but I can't take the server apart ATM

Codegen tech support was from China and I couldn't understand what they were trying to tell me. They told me to "connect it to the cpu"

Also, there is a "system" LED on the case which I connected to the "Status" output on the motherboard I'm using. It only comes on for a second before the POST beep.

I've been building computers for years, and still some of the case and motherboard connectors confuse me. Makes it even harder when different companies use different names for the same function.

My case for my main desktop system has several LED's that I don't have a clue what they are for. For example the SP1 and SP2 LED's.
