          acer would have it and so would the chipset manufacturer most likely.

              yeah the USB driver isn't listed on Acers site. But I'm pretty sure its a Intel USB eXtensable (intels universal USB3 driver). It was released Q3 14' so its probably C220 eXtensable, its on-CPU integrated USB

                For laptops with Windows 8 as intended OS, manufacturers don't provide a separate USB 3.0 driver, because Windows 8 has a generic USB 3.0 driver.

                Ivy Bridge and later chipsets have integrated USB 3.0 controller, so Intel universal USB 3.0 driver should work.
