Mint 17.1 XFCE NON PAE Force PAE Install.

Hi guys; I've just installed linux Mint rabeca 17.1 XFCE on an Emachines with Intel P4 3.06 GHZ cpu 2 gb mem just to check if it comoares to Xubuntu 14.04, it runs great but every time i boot to the Desktop
i have this annoying notice, quote:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STARTING Synaptic Packages Manager, without Administrative privileges,

you will not be able to apply any changes , but you can still export the marked changes, export or create a download script for them .
    --------------------------------------------

anybody has any idea how to remove this,i can easily remove it by clicking on the x but this is annoying, thanks.

and by the way, this is extra info for someone with low end Computers with NON PAE CPU for mostly Pentium M machines,
I installed Mint 17.1 Rebeca XFCE along side WIN XP with dual boot on my Laptop Sony Vaio VGN 195, Intel Centrino NON PAE CPU 1.5GHZ,1 Gb Mem with Force Pae,and you know what it installed great and runs great, and it's supported till 2019, while i had Xubuntu 12.04 that also run great but only supported till this coming April, since Ubuntu Products lack of NON PAE distros with support anymore , this is a great find, remind that i've tried all the Ubuntu distros and none installed in this NON PAE Pentium M. so anybody that has this old P M Machines it's good news.

Thanks diif; there are no updates cause i did the Update when i installed Mint,

i will check the fixes in the link, but i don't like to loose time on fixes that did not have reason to exist and loose time while i can replace Mint and re- install Xubuntu that i like in 15 minutes and have everything run right, without this nonsense crap.

it's strange that this weird things happen on most non Ubuntu distros,
that why i love Ubuntu Distros cause barely have this type of behavior,i had Xubntu 14.04 installed and never had this stuff,i guess if this synaptic message doesn't go away, i'll go back to Xubuntu,i just was curious, cause there was many people talking good of Mint,so i tried it,

The last few Linux installs I've done have all been Mint, and I've not seen this issue.
To me it's not loosing time if i gain in knowledge.

I uninstalled synaptic and did a few things and reintalled XFCE but now i don't have synaptic on the desktop upon booting but have The Terminal
          with this scrip

bash: /usr/bin/mint-fortune: No such file or directory
          frank@frank-desktop ~ $

          this is crazy.

In a Beelink GTR mini PC, mine has an Intel AX200NGW WLAN module.

                Tried (only with keyboard/mouse connected):
                • BIOS + database update
                • Using latest Windows 11 image built with official image creation tool
                • Previous setup version for Windows 11 installer
                • Replacing SSD without a slow block (the previous SSD had a slow block with access time > 500 mS)
                • TPM reset (worked to the point where DRIVER_PNP_WATCHDOG error message is displayed briefly after the point of stalling)
                • Disabling power to WLAN and LAN modules in BIOS (Advanced > AMD PBS > PCI Express Configuration)

Dell 5591 overheating in memtest86+ but cool running Linux Mint - What causes this?
                by honigmann
This machine comes with the i7-8850H, no internal drive and no battery installed, the bottom cover removed, an original Dell power supply is used. I just installed 8GB RAM, ran memtest86+ and noticed a power draw of about 40-50W. Accordingly within minutes the temperature went up to just below 100 degrees with the fan spinning wildly. Same thing when I enter the BIOS (1.20.0), around 40W power draw.

Next thing I tried was an install stick with Linux Mint on it. Initially I am also at around 40W but with idle desktop (Xfce) it draws just 6,5W. Is this a BIOS issue? Version 1.34 is...

                by duwane
                Hi All.

Sorry ahead of time for the text wall. This is a strange problem and I have tried to explain it as best I can. I realise this is a hardware forum (mostly), but I am still not sure if this is even a hardware fault! I am hoping that someone more knowledgeable than me in the area of understanding installation logs, or someone that has had a similar issue in the past may have some ideas of what might be causing this.

                The issue:
Unable to do a clean install of any macOS versions supported for this model, even after fully erasing and formatting the internal SSD,...

                Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
