Hi guys:today I removed a hard drive with win 7 from my Toshiba and installed in my other Hp laptop that had win vista that had trouble and I don't have the recover disc so I put in the hdd with win 7 and it's working,but I did updates and in the corner it says this is not a genuine copy win7 build 7601 but it's working for now,what you guys think is gonna happen?

There's a way to get rid of that but it can't be discussed here, but I've used "non genuine" Windows like that in a test computer for a while and it hasn't stopped working. It just displays annoying messages and won't upgrade obviously, and it seems slower but it might be an illusion. In my case I don't care as I just use this computer for benchmarks and it's not connected to the internet.

If you are not using the previous computer you took the HDD from just enter the key on the COA sticker. If it tells you it cannot be activated use the automated phone system(pretty easy).
In most cases the key on the COA has never been used. Manufacturers use their own key when they load the HDD. Try running Belarc Advisor on an OEM system and compare the key listed to the one on the COA.

Thanks Guys for all suggestions, but i took care of it all right,i just installed Ubuntu 14.04 64bt and now it runs perfect,better then WIN Vista that was in this laptop,
the laptop in question is an Hp Pavillion DV-5-1254 US Intel Core (Tm) 2 Duo core CPU P7350 2.00GHZ 4.00GB Mem intel 4500 hd card,this was given too me.
