I am planning on a new build with the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD5H black edition with i7 4790K. Does anyone know if I can put a KillerN-1202 wireless adapter in the M.2 slot. Or will the bios not recognize it? I plan on using the computer case as a ground plane for the sma adapter cables as well. Any experience with the M.2 out there?

The specs says ...
High antenna efficiency 868MHz ISM Band
5dBi Peak (when placed on 30cm x30cm ground plane) - Broadside to Zenith Radiation Pattern
The antenna is 50x50 mm square and How do I fix it on the Ground Plane of 300 x 300 mm (aluminium sheet 3mm thick).
1. Should I Fix it with a glue.
2. Should I fix it with a double side adhesive tape

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by Geeker007Hi All, I have a 9th Gen Dell Optiplex micro PC motherboard which doesn't power on. When I connect the motherboard with power adapter, it goes into safe mode and turns off. So from info I have gathered online, it looks like there is a short circuit on the motherboard. So can you guys help me with figuring out the issue?
I am new to electronics repair, so my queries could be naive but I am ready to learn.
So I have a multimeter and a solder with me. But I can try to get a variable voltage power supply with a thermal camera as well. From what I seen online, best way is... -
by RolinSomeone brought me a Dell laptop that had a loose power jack inside (power jack on a cable, not soldered to motherboard). Once disassembled found one of the wires was broken off the power jack. I replaced the jack and it won't turn on, but the metal shell of the jack inadvertently touched the metal hinge and suddenly it got power. I checked voltage from the metal chassis ground and the circuit ground and I get over 14V ? Has anyone seen this before? Typically is it some kind of filter cap that shorted? Very strange...

by sam_sam_samI have been having a fun time at work with two pieces of equipment that had shorted components or shorted component cables to machine frame
I would check what my multi meter was telling me about how many ohms I getting with the multi meter was telling versus the ESR was telling me about weather or not it really was a short to machine ground or not
One note at first we thought that it might be a bad I/O card or a malfunction PLC including me as well but I thought I would try and see if removing the I/O cables would make a difference or not and this time it did make a difference... - Loading...
