How to Manually Control Multiple Network Adapters?

I have my standard adapter to my cable modem, and a VPN. The VPN is primarily for P2P client (Azureus) and is configured to use only the VPN, however if the VPN is not connected, Azureus will not use it.

If the VPN is connected, certain sites will not load in the browser (badcaps is one). I use IE and Chrome, and would like to have all of these operate independently, for example I might want Chrome to have LAN, IE to have VPN and Azureus to use VPN also. Or whatever I might want to change. As it is, if VPN is connected, EVERYTHING uses the VPN. I want to be able to control what uses what and when.

    Win7, 32-bit.

You must have a sad, sad boring life if you hate on people harmlessly enjoying life with an animal costume.

Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

If certain sites aren't loading with your VPN, perhaps your VPN is a fault ?

I use the same VPN on my PC and phone permanently, no problems with any site/activity.

MY VPN is very common and everyone uses a limited number of IP Addresses. And the VPN is cheap and probably prone to whatever problems a cheap, commonly used VPN is prone to. But still the question is how to make chrome use network connection "A", internet explorer uses "B", etc...

You would have to use two virtual machines.

Trying to control Philips backlight manually with PWM — brightness increases with frequency...?
                by ohren
I raised the question of whether PWM on the power board "dim" pin would be a reasonable assumption for controlling the backlight of a Philips TV (55put6101/12): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...d-tv-backlight. I didn't receive any insights there so I went ahead and tried it.

                The setup is basically:

                Rpi3 hardware PWM → 220 Ohm → NPN transistor → dim pin

Transistor is switching the 3.5 V supply on the power board....

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
                by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

                Samsung UN55JU650DF network/streaming problem
                by howardc64
Fixed a 9 year old UN55JU650 by replacing backlight. Original backlight LED was still working after 27k! hours but terrible picture of course. Few LEDs were out, 5-6 lens fell off (bright white spots) and another few popped off with slightest force. Surviving LEDs were all slightly blue so picture has a blue tint.

This TV runs older Tizen OS (updated to latest version, see pic) and have problems with network (wifi or ethernet) connection. The Tizen UI frequently switch to coax input source while changing content sources. . If no good signal (coax not connected, no prior antenna/cable...

                Home network connection problem
                by davg
I just bought a new ThinkPad laptop and I need to connect it to my home network. I have several computers on my network and can see each other in File Explorer and the older ones can communicate with each other (even with the new one) but the ThinkPad can see the other computers but can't communicate with them. I get the (network error 0x80070035 The network path not found). I tried several scenarios that I found on line but none of them worked?? Since the other computers on the network can communicate fine I'm assuming the problem is with the setup of the ThinkPad? All computers are running Windows...

Maximum speed should be marked on network ports
                by japlytic
I noted that a number of consumer entertainment devices have the maximum speed marked on the wired network port and considering that there are broadband plans faster than 100 Mbit, the wired network port can be a bottleneck since some routers do not have Gigabit (only 100 Mbit) support for the WAN port let alone the wired network ports.

One other thing: Certain low cost network cables only have two pairs which limits speed to 100 Mbit.
