Socket 775 Mainboard damaged - repair possible?

    Hello,

a few days ago i decided to buy an Asrock 775 4COREDUAL VSTA mainboard from a friend. However, when he uninstalled the board from his case and removed his CPU, he somehow damaged the empty cpu socket.
After a close look i found out that actually two pins (D4 and D5) where damaged.
Its looks like the upper parts of the contact plates broke off, so they have no contact to the CPU.
Since now he refused to put his 6300 Core Duo back in the mainboard for testing, because he fears that it could be damaged. Maybe really a reason for concern? Now i wonder if it is possible that this board will run fine even without the damaged Pins. Or perhaps it is possible to repair it somehow?
A long time ago i managed to solder a broken pin back on a socket A CPU, but the pins on modern socket 775 boards are really really small.
The board was running fine before this accident, so i dont want to put it in the trash can.

Bump - Can you guys identify the caps on this board for me Ilook at pics above)? Anyone worth changing for an out of the box board?

I saw this about a similar board of asrock:
"Just to let anyone that is interested know what capacitors are on the ASRock's 4CoreDX90-VSTA, here they are:

Panasonic FJ's (near the mosfets area)
JPCON TK's (near the mosfets area)
OST RLP's and RLS's (near the ram and pci slots)"

      Tx!

In the pics above, I can see that the motherboard has Panasonic caps and Sanyo caps around the CPU. The rest of the board looks like OST caps.

Panasonic and Sanyo are good caps, OST are listed as bad caps, but I have an ECS 661FX-M motherboard that's 3 years old and uses OST even in the VRM section and none of them have bulged or leaked.... or maybe i'm just lucky

          Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A schematic/boardview needed
          by re-atari
          Hello all,

Does anybody have a schematic and/or boardview of the Gigabyte GA-H110-D3A mainboard available? It would really help me out big time...

This board was donated to me in a known non-working state. In its previous life it was used as a mining board, so I suspected bad caps and a relatively easy fix. My intention is to use the fixed board as a testbed for a Truenas or Unraid build. The previous owner told me that the mainboard started to act 'weirdly' after replacing the originally installed Celeron for an i5-6400, varying from starting up irregularly to not at...

          Hi.

I'm posting this here in part as a memo to self as well as to describe the procedure I used in case anyone else found it useful. I found a lot of the necessary information to make this work on this forum and I figured I would give something back. If this is not the appropriate place to post this, I don't mind it being deleted but I hope it can help other people.

I got an admin password locked HP Elitebook 840 G5 recently that I wanted to unlock. I'm a relative newcomer to reprogramming and unlocking firmware. The only previous experience I had was unlocking a BIOS...

Dell AL440LX power on switch circuit help required
          by Powderfanupnorf
Hi Everyone. First official post so fingers crossed I conform and also manage to get photos to work.

So I am requesting some help from anyone who happens to have one of these motherboards to hand and perhaps a multimeter.

My board has a single row of header pins for all the front panel stuff (have seen others where they are grouped together differently so thats no help) and the two pins for the power on switch had been previously repaired and I am trying to make a better repair. There looks to be pad and trace damage and im happy to relocate the header pin/pins to...

un60j620dafxza - Samsung No Display Problem
          by stylishconsultant
          Hi All,

          Need help.

I have a samsung un60j620dafxza led tv. When I plug it in it has no display, no sounds, and no standby lights.

So I opened the tv and disconnected the power to the mainboard and the backlight powered up. This according to many people says that this is a mainboard
problem. I checked the voltage coming from the stb and I read 1.3 volts on pins 1,3,5 and 7 which are low volts instead of 13 volts which i think the lcd panel
might be drawing too much power from the power supply that it prevents the right voltage going to the mainboard....
