    5VSB of death?

Also very 5V heavy... in a 775 rig...

(the PSU I replaced it with also was sorta 5v heavy, but at least it was a 1.5 boarded delta... I'm out of working 12V heavy PSUs... )

    ---

Got it up and running, had to redo a few driver settings (due to the different ethernet chip)... also found out F@H was not functional and due to my CLI client (origami) being an outdated POS, it's not gonna work. However, there now is an official linux version (with a viewer, not of use) that I may try and see... especially if it lets me tell it how much CPU to use...

edit- also, the one drive is indeed dead... it shows up but registers as 0mb... Damn it.

canned F@H... even with it's resource demands detuned, the fans ramped a bit higher than I'd like to see.

Minus the dead drive (which now isn't showing up at all), it's running well.

I forgot about how 5v heavy those things are. The "12VSB" rail only applies to the 250W model. This unit doesn't have it. Besides, even in the 250W model, the issue is caused by bad caps anyway. If you completely recap a 250-12E then it won't fail.

I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
