So I finally managed to get the Ipod up and running last night. I have it linked by firewire o the system and everything looks great. Except it don't work great.
I dock the ipod and instantly the system calls it a hard drive and ignores me telling Itunes that I don't want it in drive mode so when Itunes is started the system can't see the Ipod, It just sees a removable firewire drive.
When I right-click and eject the drive, It becomes no longer is visible butipodservice.exe goes nuts and sucks up all my CPU resources until I manually shut the program down. The first time I docked I didn't have this problem. I just pulled her ff the dock this morning and when I came home and docked the ipod it was doing this.
Well, this is item #151 on the glitch list:
-Windows takes control over Ipod and causes resource problems when ejecting.
